Strood Academy were delighted to hold their first mentoring breakfast on Thursday 21st September.
Facilitated by Elizabeth Spry and Administrator, Beth Roberts, potential new mentors were guided through the proposed new scheme at Strood Academy where individuals, who are not a teacher or a parent, will work on a one to one basis with year 11 students as they aim towards their GCSE examinations. The purpose of business mentoring is very much upon mentors utilising their life and industry experiences to help students to achieve their utmost and guiding them on how to best do so.
Feedback from the breakfast was extremely positive with all delegates showing genuine interest in this rewarding scheme. Strood Academy looks forward to training new mentors on October 5th.
