As they prepare to apply for work experience placements, Year 10 students at The Leigh UTC participated in C.V workshops today. Expertly facilitated by Dan Goodwin of Pearson Whiffin Recruitment, students were split into three groups and discussed initially their thoughts on what detail should be in a C.V. and what should not.

Students then went onto explore two C.V’s – one bad and one good. Students commented on the salient differences, identifying the elements that actually make up a good C.V. As important, the students also identified whats makes a CV poor.

Students were highly engaged and enthusiastic throughout the lively sessions with many going on to write their C.V’s at the end of the session. They conducted themselves in a mature and professional manner, in a boardroom setting to ensure business focus.

Thank you sincerely to Dan for coming in to enlighten our students.
