As part of British Science Week, 13 students from years 10, 11, 12 and 13 at The Leigh UTC entered The Royal Navy’s Young Engineers’ Disaster Relief Challenge and we are delighted to announce that they won overall in the 16-19 group.
The event, which included an overnight stay in Bristol attracted over 200 students from UTCs across the country. It was a great opportunity to design, build and present projects to the Royal Navy, BAE Systems and Young Engineers.
What impressed the judges was the collectiveness, teamwork and collaboration shown by all our students. They stood out from the rest!
Congratulations to all those who took part!
