On Wednesday 25th April, students at Milestone Academy enjoyed their annual Careers Fair.  The event was very well supported by over 20 exhibitors from a wide range of organisations who offer education and support to young people with learning difficulties.

Over 120 students, aged 14+ and many families attended on the day.

Feedback from delegates included:

“It’s a very good opportunity.  Lots of parents have come through and they were pleasantly surprised at what was on offer.”

“We have supported the event before and have seen lots of students and parents who have been very interested in what can be offered.”

“We would just like to say again thank you for inviting us to your event this week and allowing us the opportunity to come along and share our information with your families. It was a good event that was well attended and my colleague Nathalie had some good conversations with parents, so I hope the event was beneficial to those who attended. It was also a great chance for us to network with other providers who were there.”

Feedback from students included:

“I want to do a Hair and Beauty course so I got an application from North Kent College and they explained what I had to do.”

Feedback from Janet Tidmas, Principal at Milestone Academy:

“It was great to see the event attended by so many students, including some from Ifield School, and families.  The event is so valuable to families when thinking about next steps for their son or daughter and provides a valuable resource for their research.”
