As part of project based learning week at Wilmington Academy, all year 12 students were given the opportunity to participate in mock interviews.

Following on from advice and guidance on C.V writing, students took the opportunity to apply for mock positions in social care, hospitality, project management, engineering, finance, cinematography, marketing and the wider entertainment business. Job roles were tailored  in line with the courses that are offered at Wilmington Academy.

Students were afforded either one to one or panel interviews for their selected role with guest interviewers from Pearson Whiffin Recruitment, The Partnership and Alan Fletcher  Solutions as well as members of Leigh Academies Trust Engagement Team.

Students acquitted themselves well and interviewer comments post interview were positive.

Alan Fletcher commented

“All students were a credit to the school showing a great attitude and portraying a good approach and appreciation”

Teacher comment

“The students found the interviews immensely useful and the feedback they received will prove invaluable when they experience it for real”
