Strood Academy hosted two extensive C.V workshops on Monday 30th September- one for year 12 and one for year 13.
Facilitated by professional recruiter, Daniel Goodwin of Pearson Whiffin Education, students who already know that they are probably looking at either employment or an apprenticeship after year 13, participated in these hour long sessions.
Utilising examples of good and bad CV’s, students learnt the purpose of a C.V and fully explored how to best construct a document to give them the best opportunity to secure interviews.
Points covered included:
- Layout and structure of a good C.V
- Content- what is relevant and what is not
Hobbies and interests
Teacher, Miss Nasim commented:
“Thank you Daniel for planning and running the workshops yesterday. Like students, I learnt how a C.V should be written”
