On 5 December, a number of Year 12 students at the Leigh Academy had the opportunity to hear about the Smart Futures programme from Gail Manuel a Project Manager at EY.

The students established that although EY is one of the leading accountancy firms in the world, the employment opportunities within the organisation cover a very diverse range of other roles. The Smart Futures programme offers paid work experience to Year 12 students and can include mentoring for a twelve month period as well the progression to be become part of the EY alumni. A number of the students were very keen to apply for one of these opportunities, which should enhance their employability for the future.
