FSB Skills 30:30 at Wilmington Academy
Speed networking
Thank you again to the FSB Kent & Medway for bringing Skills 30:30 to Wilmington Academy.
On Wednesday 5th September year 12 students had the opportunity to benefit for the many aspects of this useful event.
For the first hour students enjoyed a useful workshop with Deborah Turner of You Image Consultancy on “How to make a great first impression in your first job” followed by an update on the current job market by Paul Andrews, CEO of Jobs in Kent.

Whilst students were participating in employability workshops, visiting businesses took part in separate talks from Chinara Rustamova, FSB Policy Lead who talked about the FSBs on-going agenda on skills. Guests then had an update from Martin Chick, Benefits and Legacy Lead at the Lower Thames Crossing project.

Finale
The finale of the event brought both businesses and students together for a fast paced session of speed networking where every student had the opportunity to experience a mini interview.
This is the fourth time that Skills 30:30 has been hosted at Wilmington Academy and the event remains as popular and useful as ever; sincere thanks to the FSB and our valued business guests for their attendance.
