Year 13 students at the Leigh UTC recently had the opportunity to participate in a mock interview session specifically designed to reflect the STEM specialities at the college, especially ICT and engineering.
Recruitment experts kindly gave up their valuable time to assess student C.V’s and covering letters prior to interview and certainly put our students through their paces!
Roles included web development, a role in pharmaceuticals and apprenticeships in mechanical engineering, digital innovation and advanced automotives.
Interviewer comment was:
“The quality of the CVs produced was very good and the students presented themselves as professionally capable and eager in their covering letters. It was a nice surprise” Cintia Bailey, Connect Plus Services
“All the students are great and I believe that each one has something special in them” Moses Ajala, Connect Plus Services
Louisa Felstead, Business Partnerships Manager for the Leigh Academies Trust said to interviewers:
“Sincere thanks for your help with the Year 13 mock interviews at the Leigh UTC today. Our students very much benefited from your industry advice and feedback and thank you again for your thorough and thoughtful comments which will be taken on board.”
