Routes into Training at Longfield Academy
Year 12 students from Longfield Academy attended Routes into Training on Wednesday 7th February.
Routes into Training was first hosted at the academy back in November 2016 and has since been held at other academies within the Trust.
Selected business guests attend to deliver a short “pitch” explaining what their organisation does and what the career progression routes and onwards training availability is within their sector.
Students then have the opportunity to participate in a carousel, similar to a trade exhibition, where they can talk on a one to one basis with business participants.
Students were encouraged to listen carefully to the information given and consider what kind of attributes, as well as likes and dislikes might make them suitable for these very different career pathways.
