The post-16 students at Wilmington Academy enjoyed a talk from Michele Gregson of the Royal Opera House Trust.

Michele spoke about a range of non-performance-related career paths in the theatre. She lamented the fact that, while the number of jobs is increasing in the creative industries, the number of students choosing creative subjects is in decline.

The Royal Opera House hopes to work with the Leigh Academies Trust to develop bronze, silver and gold guilds. Through the guilds, they aim to make students and parents aware of the continuing increase in the number of jobs in the creative sector.

This programme is open to all Dartford schools.
