On Monday 6th March, Year 9 and Year 10 students were visited by Bradley Short, a STEM ambassador and former Strood Academy pupil during their Science lessons.

Bradley spoke to our students about the possible routes that they have access to when they leave school and the range of apprenticeships that they have available. Students were interested to know what Bradley did for a living and had to guess, given various clues – only a few students could guess that Bradley was an engineer who designed roads and that he has achieved this career through an Apprenticeship!

Students found this discussion very beneficial and it has broadened their knowledge of possible routes into their chosen careers.
