The Halley Academy recently held its latest STEM mentor training session. This is the second year of such a scheme where volunteers from STEM occupations will come into the academy to work either one to one or one to two with selected year 12 students on employability skills and awareness of the world of work. In the previous years’ scheme, many students benefited from employment insights where they took the opportunity to join their mentors at their places of work to gain a full understanding of their STEM sectors.

All new mentors this year are members of the Tallow Chandlers Livery Company and again, the academy would like to express its thanks for this valuable support.
