Professional catering students at Longfield Academy continue to work with local employers and business and we are proud to have developed a link with the Hotel Campanile in Dartford. The General Manager Eddy Brosse dined at The Telescope earlier in the year and was amazed by the quality of service, the menu and quality of food – Eddy is a regular tweeter so do check his comments about his experience out!
Following his visit we have developed projects to enable students to visit his hotel and work with his staff as well as for his team to learn from our students! As a passionate hotelier he always generates great interest and discussion amongst his audience! On the visit to the hotel in July our students were given the task to review the current menu on offer to guests, the constraints and priorities of the Chef and to develop future menu ideas. This will be the first challenge for them in September when Eddy and his Chef will come to test dishes. We hope that one day their dishes will be served at The Campanile.
We are very excited about this opportunity to work with Eddy and his team, providing our students with a working knowledge and insight into the Hotel and Catering sector.
